🍂 November: A Season of Gratitude and Connection

This November, I’m especially grateful for the customers, friendships, and community connections that make our work meaningful. We’re enjoying our first fall in our own building in downtown Berthoud while continuing to serve our longtime Fort Collins customers and individuals, families, and businesses throughout Colorado and Wyoming.

As the holidays approach, it’s a natural time to reflect on the people we love and everything we’ve worked hard to build. It’s also a good time to consider what has changed this year. A new home, a new driver, a growing business, or a change in your family can all affect your insurance needs. Our team is here to help you review your coverage, understand your options, and identify potential gaps before the year ends.

I’m Gwen Brooks, owner of Gwen Brooks Insurance Agency Inc. My State Farm career began in 2006 and has included agency ownership and corporate leadership. I brought that experience to Northern Colorado in 2020.

I hold the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designation, reflecting my commitment to continuing education and a deeper understanding of the needs families and business owners face. I bring that broader perspective to conversations about your insurance protection, the people who depend on you, and what you’ve worked hard to build.

I believe helping people recognize and understand potential gaps in coverage is an essential part of being their insurance agent. Our goal is to make those conversations approachable, informative, and relevant to your life.

Before insurance, I spent nearly a decade in television news. Asking thoughtful questions, listening closely, and making complicated information understandable were central to that work—and they remain central to how I serve customers today.

I was born in Wheatland and raised in Laramie, Wyoming, so serving Colorado and Wyoming feels personal to me. I value the relationships, local businesses, and community connections that make this region special.

After six years at the Historic Preston Farmhouse in Fort Collins, our agency purchased a building and moved to 307 Welch Avenue in downtown Berthoud. We’re grateful to put down roots here, support our neighbors, and welcome customers into our new space.

Outside the office, I enjoy live music, spending time with family and friends, and getting involved in our community. I also enjoy an unexpected adventure—including appearing on the television show "The Greatest Average American!" It’s a fun chapter in my story and a reminder that there’s always room to try something new.

Gwen began her State Farm career in 2006 and is a Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), bringing advanced financial education and two decades of experience to conversations about insurance and financial protection.

Her approach goes beyond simply quoting auto or home insurance. Gwen is especially passionate about life insurance, income protection, long-term care, estate and legacy planning considerations, and helping families and business owners prepare for life's expected and unexpected changes.

With a professional background in advertising, broadcasting, and public relations, Gwen also knows the importance of communicating clearly. She believes complicated insurance and financial concepts should be understandable, practical, and meaningful to the people making these decisions.
